Biographical Sketch:
Ben Freyens is Senior Lecturer at University of Canberra, in the Australian Capital Territory. He concurrently holds a Senior Research position at the Centre of Law and Economics, at the Australian National University, and is Honorary Fellow of the Centre for Human and Social Capital Research at the University of Wollongong. He has long been associated to research projects in spectrum policy and radio transmission technologies. Aspects of this research have been published in numerous academic journals, several book chapters and in the proceedings of various refereed IEEE conferences. His research interests also include the economics of employment protection (the theme of his PhD dissertation), optimal contracting, poverty measurement, and workforce planning. In his earlier working life, he was a statistical expert at Eurostat, Luxembourg, and taught economics at Deakin University, at University of New South Wales and at University of Wollongong. |
