He has a multidisciplinary academic background and his interests are therefore to understand and analyze both the ecological and economic processes which influence the environment. Current projects involve the analysis of use and non-use values of water quality in Mexico City, non-point source water pollution control instruments, and the institutional framework of environment-related agencies.
