We have reservations in a number of local hotels (we also have some cheap student accommodation available - see the details for Corrib Village below).
The main hotel is the Radisson SAS. The hotel is opposite the train station, just a short 2 minute walk away. It is also just a 2 minute walk from the bus station. A 15 minute walk to the university campus which is where the conference is being held.

The House Hotel (20 rooms reserved, need to book before 16th May 2009). This is a very nice boutique hotel, 10 minute walk to the university campus which is where the conference is being held. It is extremely close to some good pubs. & euro 110 single and & euro 130 double, all including bed and breakfast.

The Meryick Hotel (30 rooms, need to book before 16th May 2009). A very nice hotel, in Eyre Square just in front of the train station. 10/15 minute walk to the university campus which is where the conference is being held. This place is just around the corner from the Radisson.

The Westwood House hotel (20 rooms held). This is a little out of town, maybe a 20 minute walk into central Galway. However, it is only a 10 minute walk to the main conference site (approaching the university from the opposite direction to the other hotels). We put our seminar speakers up here and they love it. Prices are 109 euro single, 140 euro double.

Good prices: Mid-week Tuesday 16th to Thursday 18th June, Single Rate - 105 euro including Breakfast, Double/Twin Rate - 119 euro including Breakfast. Weekend Friday 19th & Saturday 20th June, Single Rate - 129 euro incuding Breakfast, Double/Twin Rate - 149 euro including Breakfast.

The Galway Bay Hotel (25 rooms reserved, need to book before Tuesday 26th May). Out of town in Salthill, just opposite the beach. May suit certain people. Lovely location but 35 minutes on foot to the university campus which is where the conference is being held.
