Biographical Sketch:
Walter Trockel earned his doctorate under the supervision of Werner Hildenbrand at University of Bonn. Since 1985, Prof. Trockel has held the former chair of Reinhard Selten at the Institute of Mathematical Economics (IMW), whose director he has been from 2002 to 2009. He is managing editor of the Springer Lecture Notes in Economics and Mathematical Systems and associate editor of review of Economic design,Journal of Mathematical Economica and International Game Theory Review . In addition, Prof. Trockel has been cofounder of the European Doctoral Programs(QED EBIM )and the EU Erasmus-Mundus Master Program QEM.In addition he has been supervising several student exchange programs of Bielefeld University.
