Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Arindam Banik, Professor of Economics, International Management Institute, New Delhi holds a Ph.D Degree from the Delhi School of Economics, Delhi University, India. Dr. Banik's research interests include financial sector and economic growth, international finance and foreign borrowing, trade, investment and competitiveness, measurement of poverty and policy implications, impact and assessment study of public expenditure, technology transfer and multinationals and nature and impact of global finance. He has published articles in reputed national and international peer-reviewed journals. He has written two books entitled “New Technology and Land Elevations- Small Farms in Bangladesh”, University Press Limited, Dhaka (January), 1998 and “Foreign Capital Inflows to China, India and the Caribbean- Trends Assessments and Determinants”, Palgrave-Macmillan's Global Academic Publishing, Macmillan publishers Limited, London, in July 2006. |
