 Prof. Ali Khan is Abram Hutzler Professor of Political Economy at Johns Hopkins University. His main research interest is general equilibrium theory, namely models with a representative agent and models with a finite  number and continuum of agents. He explored questions related to arbitrage and the distinction between systematic and idiosyncratic risk. He also pursues interest in development economics, methodology and history of ideas. The interest in theory and epistemology are complemented by those in mathematics where he develops work with methods of nonstandard analysis, nonsmooth analysis and optimization, and stochastic processes.  


 
 Prof. Margaret Slade is Professor Emeritus of Economics at the University of British Columbia. Her main research interest are Empirical Industrial Organization, Economics of Exhaustible Resources and Applied Econometrics. Recently she has developed research related to spatial aspects of spillovers and franchise contracting. 


   Prof. Jacques Thisse is Professor Emeritus of Economics at the Catholic University of Louvain. He has an extensive publication record in highly regarded economic journals in areas ranging from economic theory to industrial organization and economic geography and public economics. He has received several awards among them the FNRS Solvay award in 2006.
