		| Biographical Sketch:
Boris Augurzky studied economics at the University of Heidelberg and received the degree of Diplom-Volkswirt in 1997. During his undergraduate studies he specialized in statistics and econometrics; his diploma thesis in the field of econometrics deals with new econometric methods in the international debate on wage inequality. In his Ph.D. thesis (1997-2000) he concentrates on econometric evaluation techniques, e.g. matching and instrumental variables estimators, and on estimating the effect of schooling/education on earnings. In 1998, he was granted a scholarship by the Friedrich-Ebert Stiftung. Boris Augurzky joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in March 2000. |
